Leah Rose Fernandes, age 5, of Attleboro, passed away surrounded by her loving family, in the comfort of her home, on Tuesday July 26, 2011.
Born in Attleboro, MA on February 6, 2006, she was the beloved and cherished daughter of A. Peter, Jr. and Rhiannon G. (Kirby) Fernandes.
Leah had attended the King’s Wood Montessori School in Foxboro and was preparing to enter Kindergarten in Attleboro.
Leah was a very active child and simply loved being a little girl. Her favorite colors were pink and aqua and she enjoyed partaking in arts and crafts.
She loved playing sports, swimming being her favorite. Leah enjoyed riding her bike and camping trips taken with her family. Playing with her best friends Kat, Kara and Bryleigh was always a fun part of her daily activities.
Leah was a beautiful little girl who always lived life to its fullest and could brighten up a room with her grace and presence. She will always be lovingly remembered for the special place she held in her heart for “piggies”
In addition to her beloved and cherished parents, she is survived by her adoring brother: Lukas K. Fernandes, her loving grandparents: Agostinho, Sr. and Patricia Fernandes of Norton and Terry and Doreen Kirby of Norton, her great grandmother: Esther Knowles of Norton, her uncle; Michael Fernandes and his wife Melissa of Norton, her aunts: Caroline Kirby of Brockton and Meredith Kirby of Norton, and her cousins: Mikey Fernandes and Callie Fernandes of Norton.
A service celebrating Leah’s life will be held at a later date at a place and time to be announced. Visiting hours have been omitted.
