Ryan was born in Worcester; graduated from St. Peter-Marian High School and attended Worcester State College. He was employed as a dispatcher for the Worcester Police Department for the past three and a half years. He had a compassion for the criminal justice system and was in the final stages of the selection process to become a candidate as a cadet for the Massachusetts State Police. Ryan most enjoyed the time he spent with his son, family and friends, cookouts and parties, spending time at the camp in Leicester and fishing. He was also an ever present figure at the Bay State Gym. As a youngster he played baseball with the Ted Williams Little League and later for the West Side Babe Ruth. His crowning achievement was that he was one of the All Star pitchers for the 13 Year Old World Series in 2000. His Irish heritage and pride is one of the things he will be remembered for.
