TAUNTON – Laurinda C. (Agrella) Figueiredo, wife of the late Antonio A. Figueiredo, died at the Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton on July 22, 2011.
She was 87.
Born in Taunton and a lifelong resident, she was the daughter of the late Jose and Maria (deJesus Neves) Agrella Nascimento.
Educated in Taunton schools, Mrs. Figueiredo was later employed by Texas Instruments in Attleboro, where she worked as an assembler for many years, retiring several years ago.
She was a communicant of St. Andrew the Apostle Church, and a member of the St. Andrew Women’s Guild, AARP Chapter 3938, and the Westsiders.
She enjoyed cooking, shopping at the mall, and attending aerobics classes with the Taunton Council on Aging.
Survivors include a son, Anthony A. Figueiredo and his wife Nancy of Taunton; a daughter, Linda J. Verrocchio and her husband Louis of Las Vegas, NV; two brothers, Anthony Nascimento of Berkley and Charles Agrella of Acushnet; and three grandchildren, Marc J. Furtado of Taunton, Michele Havens of Seattle, WA, and Lindsay Savageau of Taunton.
Laurinda’s past few years had been focused on her beloved great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, family members and dear friends, for whom she was so grateful.
She was also the sister of the late Joseph Nascimento, John Agrella, Mary Silva and Dolores Gay.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, July 29th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Andrew the Apostle Church at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 28th from 5 to 8 p.m.
