STEPHEN S. OLSON, 91, of Louisville, passed away July 25, 2011.
He had been Technical Director at the old Jones Dabney Company, he also worked for Alliance Universal and retired from Louisville Varnish. He was an Army veteran of World War II and also retired from the Navy Reserves. He was a graduate of North Dakota State University and a member Sigma Chi. He was also a member of the Military Officers Association of America.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Olson; son, Stephen D. Olson; and sister, Joyous Dunn.
He is survived by his daughters, Sharon Smith (Gerald) and Dr. Susan Allen (Jack); grandchildren, Doug Olson (Trish), Julie Bogard (Denny), Alex Olson (Stephanie), Chad Smith (Amy), Nathan Smith and Katie Allen; 8 great grandchildren and sister, Genevieve Rhoads.
His service will be 10am Thursday, August 4, at Owen Funeral Home, 5317 Dixie Highway, with burial in Cave Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday, August 3, 2-8pm at the funeral home.
