Shirley Nemetz of Olyphant died Thursday morning in the VNA Hospice at Community Medical Center. She was the wife of Joseph Nemetz.
Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Elmer and Thelma Gaull Harris, she was educated in Scranton schools and was employed at the Grove Silk Mill, Dunmore. She was of the Protestant faith.
Also surviving are a daughter, Gwynemarie Nemetz, Olyphant; a brother, the Rev. Donald Harris, South Carolina; seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
She was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Donnamarie; a daughter, Cherylann; four brothers, Willard, Thomas, Jack and George; and a sister, Jeanette.
