Joseph “Peno” Vultaggio, age 82, of Medford Passed away Tuesday, February 10 at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Joseph and Leonarda (Misstreta) Vultaggio. Mr. Vultaggio spent many of early years in Boston’s North End, yet came to call Medford his home.
He served in the Army during WWII and retired a pocket stitcher in the garment district. Mr. Vultaggio was a member of the “friends of the North End”.
He was the husband of Gilda (Cerqua). Loving brother in law of Susie Vultaggio of Somerville, Libby Antonino of Medford, and Barbara Devlin of Woburn. Dear brother of the late Nicholas and Tony Vultaggio, and Lina Vittorioso. Joseph is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Funeral from the Dello Russo Funeral Home, 306 Main St., MEDFORD, SATURDAY at 8 AM followed by a funeral mass celebrated in St. Clement Church, 71 Warner Street, Medford, at 9 AM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours Friday 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 PM. Services will conclude with burial at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, Malden.
