New Bedford – Jacqueline W. Tanous, age 82 years, died Saturday, July 16, 2011 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was the loved wife of Thomas Tanous of New Bedford and widow of the late William Corner. Mrs. Tanous was the mother of Craig Corner of Sandwich MA. and the late William Corner. She was the sister of Priscilla Pimental of Westport, Grant Wood of Wareham, Daryl Wood of Fall River and the late Bruce and Arnold Wood. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Tanous was a daughter of the late Arnold and Mildred (Boxendale) Wood. Mrs. Tanous worked at UMass Dartmouth in the Continuing Education Department until her retirement.
Mr. Tanous’ service will be Friday at the Perry Funeral Home, 111 Dartmouth St. at 10:30 A.M. Visiting Hours are Thursday evening from 4 - 7 P.M. Relatives and friends are invited. Burial will be Private.
