FRANKLIN—Pamela M. (Brown) Turinese-Grassel 65, of Franklin, died Monday July 18, 2011 at home surrounded by her family following a 16 month illness. She was the wife of Harold F. “Harry” Grassel, Jr.
Born in Franklin, October 10, 1945 a daughter of Raymond P. Brown of Franklin, and the late Louise M. (Pellegri) Brown, she had been a lifelong Franklin resident.
Mrs. Grassel was raised and educated in Franklin, and was a 1964 graduate of Franklin High School. She was a retired hostess and manager for the former Pipinelles’s restaurant in Franklin, where she worked for over 28 years.
She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, gardening, antiques, and watching the Boston Red Sox.
In addition to her husband, and father, she is survived by 2 daughters; Ami L. Daley and her husband Tommy of Wrentham, and Traci A. Turinese of Woonsocket, RI, a brother Robert E. Brown and his wife Donna of Buda, TX, a sister Rae L. Bethoney and her husband Joseph of Franklin. Also surviving are her sons Stephen H. Grassel of Johnston, RI & John H. Grassel and his wife Susan of Lincoln, RI.
She was the devoted grandmother of Tommy, Dylan, Sean, and Samantha Daley & Sarah & Timmy Grassel. She also leaves her sister in law Ann M. Brown of Bellingham, & several nieces and nephews, and many friends she made thru the years at the restaurant.
She was the sister of the late Ellen T. Clement.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Thursday July 21st, at 9:15AM from the Charles F. Oteri and Son Franklin Funeral Home 33 Cottage St. FRANKLIN, www.oterifuneralhome.com, with a funeral Mass in St. Mary’s Church 1 Church Sq. at 10AM.
Interment will be held privately.
Calling hours are Wednesday from 4-8PM.
