Obituary

Doris C. Raquier, 89, of Flat St. Cumberland, formerly of Division St., Manville, died Saturday at The Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late Onesime Raquier.
Born in Manville, she was a daughter of the late Alfred and Bertha (Provost) Beausoleil. She was a resident of Manville for most of her life until moving to Cumberland in 1986.
Mrs. Raquier was employed at Cadillac Textile in Cumberland for over 22 years before retiring in 1974.
Doris was a member of the Riverside Tenants Association and the Golden Agers of Manville and Albion. She was a lifelong communicant of St. James Parish and a member of the Union of Prayer.
She is survived by a son Ronald A. Raquier, and his wife Catherine, of Cumberland, and a daughter Denise M. Boucher, and her husband Gerard, of Lincoln, two grandchildren, Sean Raquier and Stephanie Arel, both of Cumberland, and a great-grandson, Michael Arel. She was the sister of the late Armand, Robert, and Marcel Beausoleil. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Her funeral will be Thursday at 9:00 am from the Menard-Lacouture Funeral Home, 71 Central St., Manville, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. James Church, Division St., Manville. Burial will follow in St. James Cemetery, Manville. Visiting hours are Wednesday from 4-7 pm. TS Alliance provides research and support for persons like Doris’s grandson Sean who are living with Tuberous Sclerosis.
