Obituary

Wilfred J. Montminy, 84, of Manchester, NH, died February 10, 2002 at Integrated Health Services after a lengthy illness.

Born in Pembroke, NH October 26, 1917, he was the son of Ovila and Anna (Grandmont) Montminy. He lived most of his life in Manchester.

He was an army veteran of World War II.

He worked as a truck driver for Robert’s Express and Quinn Freight Lines until his retirement in 1977.

He was a member of the Teamster’s Union Local 633 and retired from Local 191.

He was a member of the American Legion and the Veterans of Foreign Wars 8214. In addition, he was a member and past president of the Twentieth Rifle Club, and a life member of the Alpine Club.

Mr. Montminy was a communicant of St. Marie Church.

Family members include his wife of 56 years, Madeline (Lafond) Montminy of Manchester, NH; 3 daughters, Mrs. James (Lucille) Shea of Hooksett, NH, Mrs. Roger (Luanne) Raymond of Manchester, NH, and Mrs. Michael (Debra) Lemay of Methuen, MA; 2 sons, Gerald W. Montminy of Treasure Island, FL, and Maurice R. Montminy of Londonderry, NH; 11 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 brothers, Normand Montminy and George Montminy, both of Manchester, NH; 3 sisters, Gertrude Smith of Bloomfield, NM, Florence Dube of California, and Constance Gagnon of Bedford, NH; many nieces and nephews.

A mass of Christian burial was celebrated Thursday, February 14 in St. Marie Church, 378 Notre Dame Ave., Manchester, NH. Burial was in Mount Calvary Cemetery, Manchester, NH
