Mr. Bobby Earl England76. of Rockingham, died Thursday, July 14, 2011 in FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:oo PM on Monday, July 18, in Sweet Haven Church with Pastor Mitchell Roller and Bishop Marvin Taylor officiating. Internment will follow in the Northam Cemetery Extension.
A lifelong resident of Richmond County, Bobby was born on December 9, 1934, a son of the late Summie and Maggie Grooms England. He served in the US Air Force and retired from textiles. He was involved with Boy Scouts of American and had served as President of the Richmond County Modulators C.B Radio Club. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Harden England, sisters Ethel Barwick and Joanne Lunsford, brothers Stancil 'Snuffy", Jack, J.W., and Eugene England.
He is survived by three sons, Robert England of Winston-Salem, Larry England and Michael England both of Rockingham; three daughters, Marie Cummings of Supply, Teresa 'Bit' Scott and Pat Gibson both of Rockingham; a brother, Doug England of Rockingham;15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 7-9:00 PM at Sweet Haven Church
