Kathleen M. (Margoliouth) Acker, 94, of Mattapoisett died July 13, 2011 at Sakonnet Bay Manor, Tiverton, RI.
She was the wife of the late Joseph G. Acker.
Born in Sri Lanka, the daughter of the late Lionel and Hilda (McAleenan) Margoliouth, she was raised in England and Singapore. She married her husband in Paris and lived in Macungie, PA before moving to Mattapoisett in 1990.
Mrs. Acker was a member of the Mattapoisett Congregational Church and the Mattapoisett Womens Club.
She was formerly employed as a secretary for Buckeye Pipeline Company in Macungie, PA for many years until her retirement.
Survivors include her daughter, Jennifer Schlitzer and her husband Dr. Daniel Schlitzer of Mattapoisett; a son, Frank Acker and his wife Nancy of Millersville, MD; 5 grandchildren, Will, Emma and Sam Schlitzer, Stephanie and Lindsay Acker.
Her family will receive guests on Saturday, July 16th from 10 -11:30 AM followed by her Funeral Service at 11:30 AM in the Saunders-Dwyer Mattapoisett Home For Funerals, 50 County Rd. (Rt. 6) Mattapoisett. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Mattapoisett Free Public Library, P.O. Box 475 Mattapoisett, MA 02739.
