Dimitra (Gjika) O'Brien passed away on July 11, 2011.
Dimitra,a resident of Hanover was a former resident of Malden. She was a Retired Assistant City Clerk for the City of Melrose.
Dimitra was the devoted wife of the late Leo E. O'Brien and the beloved mother of Paul O'Brien and his wife Ilda of Hanover. She was the cherished grandmother of Audrey O'Brien and the dear sister of Daniel Gjika of NH, Lillian Sotiros of Foxboro, Victor Gjika of Watertown and the late William Gjika. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at the Albanian Orthodox Cathedral of St. George, 523 East Broadway, South Boston on Saturday, July 16th at 11:00am. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the A.J.Spadafora Funeral Home, 865 Main Street, Malden on Friday, July 15th from 2-8 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Dale Cemetery, Malden.
