Obituary

Mrs. Hulda Sisk Jones, October 12, 1931 ~ July 12, 2011. 2 Timothy 4:7-8
“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith”
“Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.” Mrs. Hulda Sisk Jones, 79, of Pilot Mountain, went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 12, 2011. She was born in Pinnacle, NC to the late Mr. Madison Sisk and Mary Lou Dalton Sisk. She was a graduate of Pinnacle High School and retired after 18 years with Amos and Smith. For several decades she was a dedicated and active member of Old Orchard Primitive Baptist Church. Mrs. Jones is survived by her devoted and loving husband of 60 years, Elder Vance R. Jones. Mrs. Jones always stated “I couldn’t ask for a man to treat me any better than Vance Jones. He is the best.” Surviving in addition to her husband are two sons and daughter-in-laws, Norman G. Jones and wife Wanda M. Jones and Wesley D. Jones and wife Laura W. Jones; one daughter and son-in-law, Cathy J. Pace and husband C. Christopher Pace; four grandchildren, Jessica J. Simmons and husband (Yancy), Jennifer J. Jordan, Ashley B. Pace and Meredith E. Pace; four great grandchildren, Abby Simmons, Cassie Simmons, Sawyer Simmons and Madison Jordan; one sister, Annabell Faries; eight brothers, Lesper Sisk and wife Mary, Rev. Odell Sisk and wife Mildred, Kelly Sisk and wife Jane, Bro. Paul Ray Sisk and wife Ronalda, Larry Sisk and wife Loedia, Glenn Sisk and wife Sylvia, Otis Sisk and wife Edna, Billy Sisk; one sister-in-law survived by brother Cardell Sisk, JoAnn Sisk. In addition, Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by four brothers, Cardell Sisk, J.M. Sisk and wife Frankie Lee, Herbert Sisk and wife Jean, and Johnny Fountain Sisk. Mrs. Jones was loved dearly by her family, friends, church members and the community and was consistently referred to as “one of the sweetest, giving and loving individuals I have ever known” She enjoyed her life by serving others, baking, sewing, entertaining and spending time with her family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Old Orchard Primitive Baptist Church Fund, 132 Deerfield Drive, Pinnacle, NC 27030. The family would like to extend their sincere appreciation to all their friends and particularly their church family across the Eastern United States. Funeral Service will be conducted on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Old Orchard Primitive Baptist Church at 2:00 PM with the Elder Rodney Marshall, Elder Scotty Marshall, Elder Richard Kirby and Elder James Ball officiating with special singing being held at 1:30 at the church. Internment will follow at the church cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, July 15, 2011 at Cox-Needham Funeral Home in Pilot Mountain from 6:00 till 9:00 PM.
