Obituary

Danvers: Jeannette M. (Tremblay) Forward, age 89 of Danvers, died Monday, July 11, 2011 at the Twin Oaks Harborside Healthcare in Danvers. She was the wife of the late Roy Roscoe Forward, to whom she had been married 62 years at the time of his death.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Martin) Tremblay. When she was a young child, her family moved to Peabody where she finished her schooling. Shortly after her marriage to Roy in 1945, the couple settled in Danvers. Jeannette was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and great-grandmother. Family life was the center of her life. She was also a long time member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Parish of Danvers.

She is survived by 2 sons, James R. Forward and his wife Elizabeth Murphy of Topsfield, Robert G. Forward and his wife Linda of Danvers, a daughter, Linda A. Reardon of Danvers, 7 grandchildren, Jennifer Vargas, Jeffrey Forward and his wife Vicki Cozzi, Danielle & Jenna Morse, Anne Jeannette Forward, Robert Roy & Daniel Forward, a step-grandson Thomas Murphy, as well as 2 great-grandchildren, Ella Katherine Vargas and John Francis Vargas, III.

Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St. [Rt. 114 / 1-A] Salem on Friday, July 15, 2011 at 7:45 a.m. to be followed by her funeral mass in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, Conant St., Danvers at 9 a.m.
Visiting hours: Thursday 4 to 8 p.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to, St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
