Obituary

Mrs. Inez Lyons Willis, 77, entered into rest on Thursday, July 7, 2011, at Emory Midtown Hospital in Atlanta, GA.

Graveside services will be at 10:00 AM on Saturday, July 16, 2011, at Westover Memorial Park Cemetery, officiating Father Thaddeus Kiwera, Chaplain of Fort Gordon Chapel in Fort Gordon, GA, and participating Elder Nancy Ross from Broadway Baptist Church of Augusta, GA.

Mrs. Willis was born in Appling, GA, to the late Clarence and Novella Lyons. She had one brother, Claude Lyons (deceased), and two sisters, Louvenia Lyons Lee (deceased) and Joann Lyons (deceased). She attended Paine College, and worked as a hygienist at the dental office of Dr. Arthur H. Kellar. She retired after 20 years of service as a pharmacy technician from Medical College of Georgia (originally Talmadge Hospital). Her marriage to the late Chester Vincent Willis resulted in two children, Chester Mallie Willis (deceased) and Robyn Betena Willis.

Mrs. Willis is survived by her daughter, Robyn Willis Jeoffroy, and husband, Garry E. Jeoffroy of Atlanta, GA, granddaughter, Jessica Nyel Hartley and husband Dr. Daniel LeClair Hartley and great-grandson, Hunter Davis Hartley, all of Forest Hills, NY, grandson, Chester Mallie Willis, II and wife Dr. Jaqueline Mar'se Willis of Nashville, TN, granddaughter, Abbria Betena McWhite and husband Sean Renort McWhite, and great-grandson, Knoah Amahrii McWhite all of High Point, NC, and grandson Matthew Devoe Willis. She is also survived by daughter-in-law, Dr. Marilyn Devoe Willis, brother-in-law, Marion Allyn Lee, brother-in-law, Joseph Willis and wife Dr. Cheryl Willis, nieces, Dannette McClendis, Wanda Owens, Linda Richards, Pamela King, special family friend, Yolanda Wareham, and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, friends, co-workers and more.

The family will receive guests from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday, July 15, 2011, at Platt's Funeral Home. If so desired, memorials may be made to Chester M.
