EAST TAUNTON – Mary A. (Gonsalves) Rebello, wife of Joaquim “Jack” Rebello, died at her East Taunton home on July 10, 2011.
She was 83.
Born in East Taunton, the daughter of the late Manuel and Francelina Gonsalves, she was a lifelong resident of the area.
Employed by the former Modern Plastics as an inspector for over 28 years, she later worked as a waitress for DeAvila’s Restaurant in Taunton.
Mrs. Rebello was a communicant of Holy Family Church, and a member and past director of the East Taunton Holy Ghost Society.
She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, gardening and dancing.
In addition to her husband of East Taunton, she leaves a son, Richard Rebello and his wife Lucy of E. Taunton; four daughters, Arlene DeMoura and her husband Joe of E. Taunton, Virginia Bryan and her husband Daniel of E. Taunton, AnneMarie Shand and her husband Stephen of Menifee, CA, and Kathleen Valadao and her husband Edward of Taunton; a daughter-in-law, Beverly Rebello of Buzzards Bay; nine grandchildren; and fifteen great grandchildren.
She was also the mother of the late Daniel M. Rebello.
Her funeral will be held from the Silva Funeral Home, 80 Broadway, Taunton on Friday, July 15th at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at Holy Family Church, East Taunton at 10 a.m.
Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
Calling Hours will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, July 14th from 5 to 8 p.m.
