Obituary

Worcester- Statia M. (Lawendowski) Kruczek, 93, of 16 Strathmore Rd., died Sunday, Feb. 8, in St. Vincent Hospital.

Her husband, Frank H. Kruczek, died in 1984. She leaves two sons, Richard C. Kruczek of Madison, Alabama and Thomas J. Kruczek of Alamogordo, New Mexico; three daughters, Frances H. Lemanski of Spencer, Barbara Ann Wyrzykowski of North Grafton and Elaine C. Kopcinski of Sutton; 22 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; 12 great great grandchildren; nephews and nieces. A son, Henry R. Kruczek of Auburn predeceased her. She was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters. She was born in Worcester, daughter of Peter and Rose (Kisiel) Lawendowski and lived here most of her life.

Mrs. Kruczek was a longtime member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish. She was also a member of the Polish Naturalization Independent Club, the Social Political Club, and the Massachusetts Commission for the Blind.

The funeral will be held Thursday, Feb. 12, from HENRY-DIRSA FUNERAL HOME, 33 Ward St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Ascension Church, 40 Vernon St. Burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours are from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 11, in the funeral home.
