Evelyn M. (Moniz) Roza, 90, of New Bedford died July 10, 2011 at Alden Court Nursing Home.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Marianno and Anna (Martins) Moniz and step-daughter of Mary Julia Moniz, she lived in New Bedford all her life.
She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven.
Ms. Roza was formerly employed by the Goodyear Tire Manufacturing for many years until her retirement.
Beloved mother of Frank Roza, Jr. and his wife Barbara of Maine, Anna Pacheco and her husband Donald of Fairhaven and Estelle Perry of New Bedford; beloved sister of Daniel Moniz of Connecticut and Hilda Boucher of New Bedford; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.
She was the beloved mother of the late Dolores Malenfant, mother-in-law of the late Raymond C. Perry and the sister of the late George Moniz, Mary Silveira, Irene Lewis and Donald Moniz.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford Wednesday, July 13th at 9 AM. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's Church, Fairhaven at 10 AM. Burial will follow in Riverside Cemetery. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday, July 12th from 4-8 PM.
