Obituary

Patrick J. English, of Manomet, died on July 8th at Life Care Center at the age of 62. Son of the late Lester V. and Mary L. (Lennon), Patrick graduated from Sacred Heart in Kingston and served in the U.S Navy. He worked as Santa Claus at Downtown Crossing in Boston and participated in the Christmas Parade for 15 years. He also played the role of King Richard at King Richard’s Faire in Carver for 7 years. Patrick performed in several theater companies in Boston and all over New England and worked as a caregiver at a residential house in Boston for adults with behavioral health and developmental disabilities for the Vinfen Corporation.

Brother of Lee English of VT, Meg English of Saugus, Frank “Paco” English of FL, Jane Stiles of Plymouth, Miriam O’Neal of Plymouth, Anne English of AZ, Colette Kraatz of CO, Pauline English of Westport, Jim English of Manomet, Nick English of Sydney, Australia; Rosie English Sampson of NH and Kathleen Plante of Manomet. The favorite uncle of many nieces and nephews, he is also survived by many aunts, uncles and extended family. He was also the brother of the late Mary Patricia English.

Visiting hours will be held at the Richard Davis Funeral Home, 619 State Rd (Rt 3A), Plymouth (Manomet) on Saturday, August 6th from 10 AM to 1 PM. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, his family requests that donations in his memory be made to the New England Center for Homeless Veterans, 17 Court St, Boston, MA 02108 or at www.nechv.org
