Robert “Bob” Nichols passed away July 7th, 2011 at Queen Anne Nursing Home in Hingham after a lengthy illness. He was 69 years of age.
Bob is survived by his loving daughter, Charlotte Nichols, son-in-law John Dawe and former wife Charlotte Delaney all of Weymouth, MA
Also survived by sisters Helen, Beverly, Carol and Ellie, numerous nephews, nieces, wonderful friends and caregivers. He is predeceased by his parents Anthony and Adeline and brother John.
Raised in South Boston, Bob lived in Hingham most of his life. He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, a graduate of Suffolk University and Bentley College and retired from his own C.P.A practice in downtown Hingham.
Bob enjoyed being with friends and family, playing Santa, coaching softball and traveling the world. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a great love of all music, especially Native American drumming. He will be sadly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Visiting hours will be at the C.C. Shepherd Funeral Home, 134 Pleasant St (Columbian Sq) S. Weymouth, MA on Tuesday, July 12th from 4 - 8 pm.
A Funeral Service will be held at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 13th at 10am. Burial will be private.
