Graveside funeral services for Ronnie Lee Windham, Sr., 60, of Ashburn will be held Sunday, July 10, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel with burial to follow in Rose Hill Cemetery in Ashburn. Mr. Windham died Thursday at Tift Regional Medical Center following a brief illness.
Mr. Windham was born in Sylvester, Ga. and was the son of the late William Leroy and Eva Christine Grant Windham. He was employed at McElroy Metals in Ashburn and was of the Baptist Faith. He was preceded in death by one daughter, Jennifer Rebecca Windham, Jan. 20, 2000.
Mr. Windham is survived by his wife, Myra McLeod Windham, one son, Ronnie Lee Windham, Jr. both of Ashburn, Ga. and one daughter, Sherri W. (Ted) Pate, Cordele, Ga. Also surviving is his brother, Horace Windham, Albany, Ga. and his sisters, Margaret Evers, Sylvester, Ga.; Jewel Pate, Poulan, Ga., and Catherine Windham, Sylvester, Ga. He is also survived by six grandchildren: Renee and Joshua Windham, both of Ashburn, Ga. and Christian, Katelyn, Haylee, and Ryan Pate all of Cordele, Ga.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 6:00--8:00 P.M. at Perry Funeral Chapel in Ashburn.
