Beverly A. (Duhaime) Elder, 74, died after a long battle with cancer on August 11, 2010 at her home in Edgewater, FL surrounded by her family. Mrs. Elder was born in Lebanon, NH on August 24, 1935, a daughter of the late Roger M. and Pauline Duhaime. She graduated from Lebanon High School in 1953. She was married to Leo Tremblay for many years. She later married Victor A. Elder of Lebanon in 1969, moved to Londonderry, NH in 1984, and retired to Edgewater and Wells, ME in 1996.
She was a devout Catholic who served as Eucharistic Minister in Londonderry, Wells and Edgewater. She loved to travel and she and Victor had visited many places throughout the world. She cherished the time she spent with her family and friends, and was always there for people. In thought, word and deed, she touched the lives of many people in a variety of ways. Her devotion and kindness will be remembered always, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her and loved her.
She is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 41 years, Victor A. Elder, six caring children, Gary Tremblay of Lebanon, Renee Armand of Cottonport, LA, Robin Andrae of Edgewater, Kristie Meola of Londonderry, Ruth Elder Sernak of Pinehurst, NC, and Andrew Elder of Las Cassas, TN, Nanny to six beloved grandchildren, Kevin Elder, Glen and Bridget Tremblay, Ashley Andrae, and Stephanie and Alexis Meola. She also leaves her brother, Roger C. Duhaime of Lebanon, her sister, Linda Culver of Littleton, NH and several nieces and nephews.
A calling hour was held on Thursday August 11, 2011 from 10:00 - 11:00am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A memorial celebration followed at 11:00am in the funeral home. Contributions in her memory may be made to St. Jude's Research Children's Hospital in Tenn. or to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Terrace, Port Orange, FL.
