METHUEN - Margaret M. (Robichaud) Salois, 73, of Methuen, died Friday July 1st, at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.
Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, Margaret was the daughter of Arthur and Dora (DeSell) Robichaud. She attended Methuen schools and graduated from the Edward F. Searles High School.
Margaret devoted her life to raising her family and she enjoyed attending all her grandchildren’s and great grandchildren’s sporting events and special occasions. She also enjoyed camping, bowling, boating, playing darts and bingo. She loved country music and dancing and her favorite pastime was shopping.
Margaret is survived by her children Karen Garrigan and her husband Randy Spann of Piermont, NH, Rhonda Bilapka of Methuen, Doreen Vaillancourt and her husband John of Derry, NH, Kevin Salois and his wife Sheila of Lawrence, and William Salois of Sandown, NH. She is also survived by two brothers Arthur Robichaud and his wife Kathy of Salem, NH and Thomas Robichaud and his wife Deborah of Derry, NH. She was pre-deceased by her former husband, William A. Salois. Margaret also leaves 11 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren and her long time partner Henry Donovan of Salem, NH.
Family and friends may call on Thursday July 7, 2011 from 4:00–8:00 p.m, at the Kenneth H. Pollard Funeral Home, Inc. 233 Lawrence Street in Methuen. A funeral service will be held on Friday morning at 11:00 AM at the West Congregational Church in Haverhill. Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
