Lorraine Laplante Tranmer 73, of Rhodes Ave. died Saturday at the Friendly Home. She was the wife of the late William Tranmer and Marcel Laplante. Born in Woonsocket she was a daughter of the late Antonio and Lillian (Belanger) Fontaine. Mrs. Tranmer was a Medical Technician and CNA for many years before retiring fourteen years ago.
She is survived by two sons Marcel Laplante of Griswold CT and Michael Laplante of Woonsocket, two daughters Luann Curran and Elaine Harnois both of Woonsocket, a brother Earl Fontaine of Burrillville, and a sister Elaine St. Laurent of Woonsocket, many grandchildren and great -grandchildren.
Her funeral with a Mass of Christian Burial will be held Wednesday at 10:30AM in St. Joseph's Church, Mendon Rd., Woonsocket. Burial will follow in St. Jean Baptiste Cemetery, Bellingham. Visiting hours will be private.
