Welcome, Geralda Adela Golden, 73, passed away at home June 29, 2011. She is survived by her daughter; Michelle and granddaughter Victoria, brother; John, sisters-in- law: Beaufort Cheek Golden and Dolores Smith Golden, niece Kendall and her husband John, nephew Tony, great nephews, Antoine, Sean, Adrian, Daniel and William, Numerous cousins, Special Friends Carol, Diana, Raul, and Venito.
Gerry was born in St. Croix US Virgin Islands in 1937. She moved to New York City with her family at the age of 11. She has resided in Teaneck, NJ since 1956. She was a lover of animals and showered her feline children with lots of love. She enjoyed reading, and talking on the telephone with family. She enjoyed traveling sharing many adventures with her travel club companions. A memorial service will be held July 5, 2011, 5pm – 7pm at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in Geralda Welcome’s name to the American Cancer Society or your local Animal Welfare Agency.
