Bobby Lee Anderson, age 43, died Saturday, July 2, 2011 in Danville Regional Medical Center after being in declining health for 12 years.
Born May 8, 1968 in Danville, Virginia, he was the son of Joseph “Joe” S. Anderson and Jacqueline Rich Anderson. He lived his entire life in Danville. He worked in the construction industry installing vinyl siding.
Mr. Anderson is survived by his father: Joseph “Joe” S. Anderson; two brothers: Kenneth W. Anderson of Danville, and Anthony “Tony” Anderson of Pelham, N.C.; one sister: Arlene Marie Mitchell of Madison, N.C.; one half sister: Theresa Norris of Allendale, Michigan; as well as several cousins, nieces, and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother: Jacqueline Rich Anderson; one brother: Joseph S. Anderson, Jr.; and one sister: Teresa Anderson Hayes.
Funeral services officiated by Rev. Jack Robertson will be held Tuesday, July 5, 2011 at 2 p.m. at Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Floral Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday, July 4, 2011 from 7-8:30 p.m. at the chapel. At other times the family will be at the residence 199 Banner Street, Danville, VA, 24541
