Obituary

Richard E. Kendrew, 89, died June 23 at the Jordan Hospital, Plymouth. Born in Brockton, in 1922, he was the son of the late Clarence E. and Alice E. (Knapp) Kendrew. He resided in Duxbury for 28 years before moving to Kingston 10 years ago. He retired as a salesmanager for Firestone Tire and Rubber Co. Before returning to Kingston, he had retired to Arizona and Florida.
Richard was a World War II veteran, having served in the Army Air Core.
He is survived by his children Richard Kendrew of Cotuit, Diane Holman of Colebrook, NH, Donald Kendrew of Kingston, and Nancy Donoghue of Greenfield, MA, seven grandchildren, two great grandchildren, and his brother Lawrence Kendrew of Kingston. He was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Kendrew and his son David Kendrew.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thurs. June 30 at the Shepherd Funeral Home, 216 Main St.,Rt. 106, Kingston at 11:00AM. Interment in Mayflower Cemetery, Duxbury. Memorial donations may be made to the Duxbury Senior Center.
