WORCESTER-Fahima Y. Abdulahad, 64, of Worcester, died Saturday, June 25th in St. Vincent Hospital. She leaves three brothers, George Abdulahad of Worcester and Hanna and Samir Abdulahad of Syria; four sisters, Yoland Abdulahad and Nadia Basmaji, both of Worcester, Ayten of New York and Merin Abdulmasin of Sweden; several nephews and nieces, including Carol and Christine.
Fahima was born in Kamashli, Syria, the daughter of Youssef and Saidoun (Saliba) Abdulahad. Earlier in life, she was a teacher in Syria. Fahima was a devout member of St. Mary’s Syrian Orthodox Church, Shrewsbury. She spent her life helping to raise her sibling’s children and praying to the Lord.
The funeral is Tuesday, June 28th with a service at 10:00 AM in St. Mary’s Syrian Orthodox Church, 1 Industrial Drive, Shrewsbury. Burial will be in Hope Cemetery. Calling hours are Monday, June 27th from 5:00 until 8:00 PM in the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Mary’s Syrian Orthodox Church, 1 Industrial Drive, Shrewsbury, MA 01545.
