Mary Elizabeth "Mary Beth" King, 62, of New Bedford died June 25, 2011 at St. Luke's Hospital.
Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late William H. and Catherine M. (Vieira) King, she lived in New Bedford and Dartmouth for most of her life.
She was formerly employed by St. Luke's Hospital as a Registered Nurse.
Mary Beth was a member of the Fall River Catholic Nurses Association, a volunteer for American Cancer Society, certified as Abuse/Rape Counselor at New Bedford Women's Center and she was a graduate of Bishop Stang High School and Cape Cod Community College.
Survivors include her son Richard Cashin of Portland, OR; her close companion, Gregory Snow of New Bedford; two brothers, William H. King and his wife Sara of New Bedford, and Stephen J. King and his wife Ana and their son Stephen, all of Austin, TX.
Her visiting hours will be held on Thursday, June 30th from 6-8 PM in the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New Bedford followed by her Memorial Service at 8 PM. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the American Liver Foundation, 88 Winchester St., Newton, MA 02461.
