Nicholson, Kenneth Jay of Wellesley, passed away on June 24, 2011. He was just shy of his 75th birthday. The son of the late Kenneth James Nicholson and Viola (Killens) Nicholson, he was born in Clearfield, Pennsylvania and graduated from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He was a long-time resident of Wellesley, a member of The Village Church, a former coach of Wellesley Little League, and a member of The Nehoiden Golf Club. A Senior Vice President of Morgan Stanley Smith Barney in Boston, he retired in June 2010 after a distinguished 46-year career. His life pursuits reflected his personality perfectly: he was passionate about his family, his career in the securities business, and golf. He is survived by his wife, Almeda (Anderson), three children, Kristin, Wendy and Kenneth J. II, and six grandchildren, George, Peter, Constantine and Athena Nicholson and Jack and Anderson Chefetz. A graveside service and burial will be private. Memorial contributions may be made to The Nicholson Family Scholarship Fund at The Roxbury Latin School, 101 St. Theresa Ave., West Roxbury, MA 02132-3496.
