Shawn G. Olivero
Augusta, GA – Mr. Shawn Garrett Olivero, 45, entered into rest Friday, June 24, 2011 at University Hospital.
Mr. Olivero, a native of Brooklyn, NY, moved to Augusta in 1981. He was a graduate of Westside High School. He worked at Designer Tile & Tubs Inc. since 1986. Mr. Olivero was always available to lend a helping hand. He had a charming smile, never met a stranger, and was devoted to his career and family. Mr. Olivero loved scuba diving, camping, and white water rafting.
Family members include his mother, Bobbie Hasty Olivero of Augusta; father, Joseph J. Olivero, Jr. of Augusta; brother, Derek S. Olivero of Hancock, NY; nephew, Marc J. Olivero; uncle, Kermit E. Hasty; aunts: Edna H. Williams, Monteen H. Toole; many cousins and friends; and close friend, Bob Wright. He was the grandson of the late Bertha and Wesley W. Hasty.
A funeral mass will be held Monday, June 27, 2011 at 12:15 P.M. at The Church of the Most Holy Trinity with Rev. Michael J. Kavanaugh celebrant. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Duane Cox, Devin Johnson, Duane McPherson, J.D. Norris, Johnny Oliver, and Seth Thomas.
