Eileen A. (Senecal) McCann, 92, of New Bedford died Saturday February 9, 2002 at Sacred Heart Home. She was the wife of the late William J. McCann,and daughter of the late Lorenzo and Mary (Almond) Senecal.
Mrs. McCann was born in New Bedford and had lived in New Bedford for all of her life.
She was a communicant of Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish.
Mrs. McCann was formerly employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts for 20 years as a clerk for the Department of Welfare.
She was a member of the Daughters of Isabella, the Catholic Order of Foresters and the Holy Name Ladies Guild.
Survivors include 2 sons, William J. McCann of East Greenwich, Rhode Island and Joseph S. McCann of Longwood, Florida; 5 grandchildren, Sheila M. Irizarry, William J. McCann, Shaun M. McCann, Joseph McCann and Timothy McCann; 4 great-grandchildren; and her close friend, Anna O'Neil of New Bedford.
Funeral from the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St., New BedfordWednesday February 13, 2002 at 9 AM.Funeral Mass at Holy Name of the Sacred Heart of Jesus Church at 10 AM.Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be on Tuesday from 3-7 PM. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
