Obituary

Edward J. Zelonis, 82, of Manchester, died Thursday, June 23rd, 2011 at Bedford Hills Care and Rehabilitation Center in Bedford, NH.

He was born on July 5, 1928 in Tewksbury, MA, the son of William and Antonia (Alex) Zelonis.

He was educated in the local Tewksbury school system and later entered the US Navy in 1946.

He worked many years in quality control before retiring from Lockheed Sanders in 1988.

Edward enjoyed watching televised sports, boating and fishing. Above all else, he loved spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by all.

Family members include two sons, Donald Zelonis and his wife Claire, Larry Zelonis and his wife Diane, all of Manchester; a daughter, Linda Boily and her husband Brian of Hooksett; two grandchildren, Amy Chickering and Lindsay Boily; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his wife of 53 years Phyllis (Taylor) Zelonis and by four brothers, Vincent, John, Richard, and Stanley and by two sisters, Ann Maselunas and Helen Nader.


A Mass of Christian burial was celebrated on Saturday, June 26, 2011 in Ste. Marie Church, 290 Notre Dame Ave. Burial followed in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 474 Goffstown Rd.
