LONDONDERRY, NH - Frederick G. McCann, 65, a teacher at Alverine High School inHudson, died Thursday, Feb. 5, at Blairehouse of Tewksbury, after a lengthy illness. He was thehusband of Erdine A. McCann.
He was born in Lubec, Maine, Sept. 19, 1938, a son of the late Kenneth and (Rosenthal) McCann. He was raised in Londonderry, NH, and was graduated from Pinkerton Academy in Derry, NH. He matriculated to Keene State Teachers College, and awarded a Bachelors Degree in Education.
He taught math and science at Alverine High School, in Hudson, NH, for more than 25 years until his retirement in 1993.
Besides his wife, he is survived by two sons, Sean and his wife Sue (Vermett) McCann ofManchester, NH, James McCann of Nashua, NH; a daughter, Shannon McCann and her fiancéRobert Antonio of Old Saybrook, CT; two brothers, Sanford and his wife Maryann McCann ofNorthwood, NH, and VA, Kenneth and his wife Tec McCann of Sunapee, NH; a sister, JillFletcher of Maine; and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, Feb. 28, at 10:00 a.m. in St. Joseph’s Chapel,Manchester, NH. Funeral services are private.
