Joanna M. “Nancy” Coyne, 72, of Francis Road, died Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at Roger Williams Hospital in Providence. She was the wife of John P. Coyne. They had been married for 52 years.
Born in Lincoln, she was a daughter of the late James V. and Jane (O’Neill) Murphy. They had lived in Glocester since 1962.
Mrs. Coyne was the President of J. Coyne Company. She had also worked as a CNA at North Bay Manor. She was a volunteer for Child Find and Meals on Wheels.
She is survived by her children: Kathleen Coyne McCoy and her husband, Mark of Scituate, Timothy Coyne and his wife, Kari of Glocester, Colleen Coyne Killeen and her husband, William of Greenville, Patricia Coyne-Fague and her husband Jeremy of Glocester, Brendan Coyne and his wife Jennifer of Glocester, Terence Coyne of North Providence and his fiancée Diane Degnan, her siblings; Jean Catanzaro of North Scituate and James Murphy of Cumberland, her nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late James Murphy Coyne and sister of the late Paul Murphy.
Mass of Christian Burial Friday at 9:30am in St. Philip Church, 622 Putnam Pike, Smithfield. Burial in Acote’s Hill Cemetery, Chepachet. Visitation Thursday 4-7pm in the ANDERSON-WINFIELD Funeral Home, Route 44 at Greenville Common, Greenville.
