Dennis Ray Tolley, age 63, of 915 Mount Cross Road, Danville, died Tuesday, June 21, 2011 in the Blue Ridge Nursing Center.
Born January 2, 1948 in Danville, he was the son of the late John M. Tolley, Jr. and Ruby Cassady Tolley. He worked as a vinyl siding installer for a number of years. Mr. Tolley was a veteran of the United States Army having served during the Vietman War conflict.
Survivors include three sisters: Linda Hawkins and her husband Jack of Danville, June Marie Stephens and her husband Billy of Long Beach, NC, and Betty London of Danville; one brother: Perry Lee Tolley of North Carolina. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by three sisters: Mary Ann Jones, Lucille T. Hobbs, and Alice Faye Tolley, and by one brother, John M. Tolley, Jr.
Funeral services will be held Friday, June 24, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Swicegood Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Danville Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Friday, one hour prior to the service. At other times, they will be at the home of his sister, Linda Hawkins, 238 Brentwood Drive, Danville.
