METHUEN – William A. Cornu, 60 of Methuen and formerly of San Diego, CA died Sunday June 19, 2011 at Methuen Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Born and educated in Lawrence he was the son of Ronald Cornu and the late Theresa (Bourassa) Cornu. He attended St. Anne’s Grammar School, he graduated from Lawrence High School. He also attended Northern Essex Community College, Ventura College, Santa Barbara School of Massage and was a Certified Massage Therapist. During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Air Force prior to being honorably discharged.
Bill loved the outdoors and enjoyed hiking, camping and landscaping. He also had a love for art and poetry. Bill touched the lives of many people of those in need and will be sadly missed by all those hearts he touched.
He is survived by his father Ronald Cornu and his step-mother Rosemary of Methuen, MA.
Brothers and Sisters Joyce Maille of Dracut, Ronald Cornu and his wife Sandra of Haverhill, Henry Cornu and his wife Dedra of Methuen.
Step brothers and step sisters Beth and her husband Richard Araujo of Tewksbury, Carol and her husband Edward Noseworthy of Revere, MA, John and his wife Denise Whiteside of Arizona.
Several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by brothers and sisters: Eileen Lehto, Michael, David, and Richard Cornu.
ARRANGEMENTS: Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00p.m. – 8:00p.m. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday at 11:00a.m. in Our Lady of Good Counsel Parish/St. Theresa’s Church in Methuen, MA. Burial will follow in the Immaculate Conception Cemetery in Lawrence, MA.
