Norma L. Fandel age 76 of Metamora, Illinois passed away Friday June 17, 2011 at her residence. She was born April 20, 1935 in Low Point, Illinois to George T. and Zella B. (Cary) Clark. She married Paul E. Fandel Feb. 11, 1956 at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church in rural Metamora. He passed away Sept. 14, 1978.
Surviving are her children; Marguerite (Dan) Gove of Suzhou, China, Wanda (Alan) Schoch of E. Peoria, Ninette (Tim) Robbins of Libertyville, IL, and Doug (Kim) Fandel of E. Peoria. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and sisters Barb Knoblauch and Jayne (Don) Knoblauch both of Metamora. She was preceded in death by one grandson Ellis Robbins and one brother George E. Clark.
Norma worked for many years in Admissions at Illinois Central College retiring in 2000. She and her husband were involved with Cursillo and was a member of the Red Hat Club. Member of St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church where she was a Eucharistic Minister.
A Funeral Mass will be at 10:00am Wednesday June 22, 2011 at St. Mary of Lourdes Catholic Church with Father Neri Greskoviak officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5pm until 8pm at Mason Funeral Home Metamora Chapel with recitation of the Rosary at 8pm. Burial will be in St. Mary of Lourdes Cemetery.
