Henry Gardner Philla, 69, of Frisco, Texas, passed away on February 16, 2011.
Born in New Bedford and raised in Mattapoisett, the son of the late Henry D. and Madeline (Dexter) Philla, he had resided in Texas since 1978. He was the owner of a successful air conditioning and heating business in the Dallas-Fort Worth area for 25 years. He was a graduate of Bristol County Agricultural High School and Richland College in Dallas.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sabra (Cooper) Philla; his daughters, Heidi Teeling and her husband Shawn of Frisco, and Debra Machie and her husband Shawn of New Bedford; grandchildren, Robert Thomas Teeling and Evan Kelsey; and siblings, Kathleen Briggs and Donald Philla of Mattapoisett.
He was the grandfather of the late Andrew Kelsey.
A Graveside Service will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011 at 10 AM in Pine Island Cemetery, Mattapoisett.
