VERO, NICHOLAS A. age 89 of Lewes, DE, formerly of Leonia , NJ died on Sunday June 19, 2011.
Beloved husband of Marie Vero (nee Fortunato). Devoted father of Dr. Nicholas Vero and his wife Donna Vero and Marie Ahearn and her husband Danny Ahearn. Nicholas was preceded in death by his two sisters, Louise Senesey and Anna Modero and his brother, Gaetano Vero. Loving grandfather of Dr. Carina Vero Vora and her husband Dr. Setu Vora and Dr. Erica Vero and her husband Dr. Joseph Mathew. Cherished great grandfather of Sachi and Gianni. Nicholas was an Army veteran of WWII and former instructor in dental technology at Columbia University School of Dental and Oral Surgery. A devoted family man, he loved to cook and travel and was an avid gardener and artist. Family and friends are invited to visit Thursday from 4-8 PM at the Volk Leber Funeral Home, 789 Teaneck Road, Teaneck, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 AM at St. John the Evangelist RC Church in Leonia, NJ. Entombment will follow at Madonna Mausoleum, Fort Lee, NJ
