Mrs, Emma R. (Hathaway) Ouellette, of Taunton, died Saturday, June 18 in Morton Hospital following a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Marcel G. Ouellette. She was born 87 years ago in Taunton, the daughter of the late Frederick C. and Albina (Champney) Hathaway. She was educated in Taunton and was a lifelong city resident. Prior to her retirement, she had been employed as a buttonhole operator for the former Whittenton Garment Corp. for 37 years. She enjoyed playing bingo and cards, and visiting Foxwoods. She was a communicant of the former Immaculate Conception Church in Taunton.
She leaves: 1 brother: Wilfred Hathaway of Bridgewater; 1 sister: Agnes Tokarz of Taunton, and several nieces and nephews. Emma was also the sister of the late Allen Hathaway, Dorothy Ouellette, Harold Hathaway, Mildred Conway and Louise Ulak.
Funeral services will be held from The Riendeau-Mulvey Funeral Home, 467 Bay Street, on Wednesday, June 22 at 9:00 A.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow in St. Jude the Apostle Church at 10:00 A.M. Interment will be in the V.A. National Cemetery, Bourne. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting Hours will be held on Tuesday, from 4:00 to 7:00 P.M.
