William J. Correia age 62 of Canton passed away at the Norwood Hospital June 16th. Born in Norwood, he was a lifelong resident of Canton. He graduated from Canton High School Class of 1966 and was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam Era. He worked for the Town of Canton Highway & Sewer Departments for 44 years before retiring in 2010. He was a member of the American Legion Post #24, a former member of the Canton Town Club and enjoyed golf and all sports. Beloved father of Kellie Correia of Stoughton & Gregory Correia of Attleboro. Grandfather of Ashley & Hannah of Stoughton. Loving son of the late Charles & Bridget Correia. Brother of John of Canton, David of Bridgewater, Linda Gaboriault of Rockland, Robert of N.H. and the late Charles and Thomas Correia. Also survived by his lifelong friends John & Ann Jorgensen of Canton. Visiting hours at the Dockray & Thomas Funeral Home 455 Washington St. Canton Monday 5-8 pm. Funeral mass at St. John the Evangelist Church Canton Tuesday morning at 10:00. Interment Canton Corner Cemetery.
