Norman B. “Tubby” Rego, age 78, of Fall River passed away June 16, 2011. He was the husband of Shirley (Gonsalves) Rego and son of the late Joseph & Irene (Larner) Rego. Norman was an Army veteran of the Korean War, he was self-employed in the sales field, and prior to that he worked in sales for the Stewart Sandwich Co. He was a member of the American Legion, AmVets, and the VFW. Norman was also a member of Holy Rosary Church.
Norman was the father of Norma Picard of FL, Kenneth Rego of Fall River, Sandra Souza of Assonet, Shelley Converse of FL, Norman Rego Jr. of Westport, & Jason Rego of Tiverton. He is survived by a brother & 2 sisters, 10 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, & several nieces & nephews.
His funeral will take place from the MANUEL ROGERS & SONS FUNERAL HOME 1521 N. Main St., Fall River MONDAY AT 8:00 A.M. with a Mass of Christian Burial in Holy Rosary Church at 9:00 A.M. Interment in Notre Dame Cemetery. Calling hours SUNDAY 3-7 P.M.
