SWAMPSCOTT: Cora (Tarr) Richmond, 96, died Monday, June 13, 2011 at her residence. She was the wife of the late M. “Dyke” Clebnik and the late Mark S. Richmond.
Born in Gloucester on February 1, 1915, she was the daughter of the late Carl Norwood and Minnie (Feldman) Tarr. She was a graduate of the Gloucester High School class of 1932 and had attended Simmons College.
Mrs. Richmond had resided in Swampscott for over fifty-five years. She was the former owner of the Clebnik Flower Shop in Lynn for many years. She had also been an active volunteer at the Salem Hospital.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Sherman and Paula Clebnik of Mansfield Center, CT and Douglas and Barbara Tarr of Highland Park, IL; three grandchildren, Rachel and Jeffrey Tarr and Holly Clebnik. She was also predeceased by her beloved brother, Lester Sherman Tarr.
Funeral services will be held on a day and time to be announced. There are no visiting hours.
