Mary Cross, age 100, of Douglas, GA passed away at Summers Landing on Tuesday, June 14, 2011 following an extended illness. Mrs. Cross was born on July 1, 1910 in Coffee County, GA to the late Robert and Nancy Buchan Bremby. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church. Mrs. Cross was preceded in death by husband: Howell C. Cross; sisters: Nell Wilcox, Sarah Daniels, Alice Anderson; brother: Bobby Bembry Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2011 at Sims Funeral Home Chapel at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Craig Hutto officiating. Interment will follow in the Douglas City Cemetery. Survivors include: son: Carl (Simone) Cross, Douglas, GA; sisters: Winifred Greer, Cochran, GA, Clara Snow, Hawkinsville, GA; grandson: Dr. Tony (Wilma) Howell Cross, Tuscaloosa, AL; great grandson: William Howell Cross. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 10:00 a.m to
