Obituary

WAYLAND: Edmund A. “Ed” Webb, Jr., 85 died peacefully on Friday evening June 10, 2011 following a brief illness.
He was born in Arlington on January 28, 1926 the son of the late Edmund A. Webb, Sr. and Gertrude (Schneitzer) Webb.
He was the beloved and devoted husband of the late Hilda P. (Dolan) Webb who died on May 19, 2005 with whom he shared 50 years of marriage.
He is survived by his sisters, Phyllis Downe of NC and Muriel Moyer of FL and several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He is also survived by his brother-in-law, Philip S. Dolan of Hanover.
Ed has been a resident of Wayland for over 56 years and spent his formative years in Lexington and graduated from Lexington High School with the Class of 1943. He served his country proudly during World War II with the United States Army. He was a graduate of Bentley College in Waltham with a BS in Accounting and Finance. He had a long and distinguished career as a food broker with the Pezrow Company of Foxborough. He was a member of the NRA and loved to spend time working on projects at his home. He was devoted to his family and loved spending time with his dogs.
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 11:00 am at the Webb family lot in Lakeview Cemetery , Commonwealth Rd East (Rte 30), Wayland.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the John C. Bryant Funeral Home of Wayland.
