Donato Iandoli, 79, died Saturday, June 11, 2011. He was the loving husband of the late Mafalda (Moscoritolo) Iandoli, who passed away in 2004.
Born in Mirabella Eclano, Italy on Feb. 16, 1932, he was the son of the late Giuseppe and Annunziata (DeLuca) Iandoli. He was the raised and educated in Italy and emigrated to the United States in 1966. He had been a Somerville resident for many years.
Mr. Iandoli had been employed in the kitchen of the former European Restaurant in Boston’s North End for several years. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and loved animals, especially his pet shih-tzu Danny Boy.
He is survived by two beloved children, Annunziata “Nancy” Peppe and her husband Vincenzo of Danvers and Robert Iandoli and his wife Sarah of Malden, four cherished grandchildren, Josephine Delgrosso of Middleton and Tanya Pulsciano, Sabrina Peppe, and Danny Peppe, all of Danvers, and two great-grandchildren, Robert Pulsciano Jr. and Vinnie Delgrosso.
His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at 11AM in St. Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, Malden. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours are Tuesday from 4-8PM in C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square.
