Arleene W. Kirkland, age 91, Blackshear, GA passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2011 at her daughter's residence in Pierce County, GA following an extended illness. Mrs. Kirkland was born to William Henry and Hattie Arnold Willis on March 13, 1920. She was a homemaker and a member of Parkview Calvary Holiness Church. She is the widow of T. J. Kirkland. She was preceded in death by a son : Frankliln Kirkland. Funeral Services will be held on Monday, June 13, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. in the Parkview Calvary Holiness Church with interment following in the Chatterton Church Cemetery. Survivors include: son: Elton (Sybil) Kirkland, Bradenton, FL; daughters: Grace (Eugene) Taylor, Palmetto, FL; Lanet (John) Anderson, West Green, GA; Shirley Rowell, Blackshear, GA; Glenda (Richard) Clark, Lyons, GA; sister: Maxie Brown, Homerville, GA; 15 grandchildren; 36 great grandchildren; 29 great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, June 12, 2011 from 6:00 p.m to 9:00 p.m. at Sims Funeral Home. Sims Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
