Alice T. (Caton) Neagus, 88, of Acushnet died Friday June 10, 2011 at Our Lady's Haven. She was the wife of Richard E. Neagus; they had been married for 63 years.
Born in Fairhaven, the daughter of the late Manuel and Mary (Perry) Caton, she lived in Fairhaven and Acushnet for most of her life. She was a graduate of Fairhaven High School.
Mrs. Neagus was formerly employed as an assembler at John I. Paulding Company until her retirement.
She was an avid bowler and enjoyed going out for Sunday rides.
Survivors include her husband; a son, Richard E. Neagus, Jr. and his wife Marcelle of Acushnet; a brother, Raymond Caton and his wife Shirley of Acushnet; two granddaughters, Kerrie Neagus and Karen Leaver and her husband Scott; two great-grandchildren, Sydney and Kamden; and several nieces and nephews.
She was the sister of the late Ruth Messier, Virginia Gagne, and Hilda Kresge.
Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday at 9:30 AM at St. John Neumann Church, East Freetown. Burial will follow in Acushnet Cemetery.
